One of the things we can do to keep our brains amazing is relax. Here are some tips on how to relax…

Having a warm bath can help you feel better by relaxing your muscles and giving your amazing brain a break.

Watch your favourite television programme or read a good book. This helps distract your brain from stress and helps you to feel better.

Do something different. Try doing something active. When you’re active your amazing brain releases lots of chemicals that make you feel more positive and happy. Having a run around outside or a dance in the house can do the trick!

When we feel stressed our muscles can become tense and uncomfortable. Relaxing our muscles can help us feel less stressed. Here’s how you can do it!

Tense your muscles one by one, slowly moving up from the muscles in your feet and legs...to your tummy...to your shoulders and arms...and finally to the muscles in your neck and face.

Remember to hold each muscle tight for 10 seconds and then release it and relax.

Try and notice the difference in how you feel when your muscles are relaxed.
